Titanium Grade 7 Tube is used in high corrosive applications. Pearl Overseas manufactures different types, shapes and dimensions of titanium grade 7 tubes. The Gr7 Titanium Tube differs in diameters of 1mm to 254mm. The pipes range ½ inches to 24 inches. The tubes also have pressure classes according to wall thicknesses from 0.1mm to 20mm. The material is a palladium alloy of titanium. It is similar to grade 2 titanium in physical properties except for very high corrosion resistance. The Titanium Grade 7 Tube is the most corrosion resistant tube of all titanium tube grades. The tubes could also be used under high temperatures because of the high melting point at 1665 degrees Celsius and high operating temperatures up to 450 degrees Celsius.
The Gr.7 Ti Alloy Tubes are used in chemical industries, paper and pulp industries, aerospace applications and in marine applications. There are different types of manufacturing processes in making these tubes. Some are Titanium Alloy Gr.7 Seamless Tubes and some are welded tubes. The seamless ones have less absolute roughness than the Ti Alloy DIN 3.7235 Welded Tubes. The grade 7 tubes could be annealed for strength above 650 degrees Celsius and be rapidly cooled.
