Monel K500 Plate is made up of a nickel copper alloy that has 70% nickel and 29% copper in its composition. The combination of these two metals provides excellent corrosion resistance in reducing medial acids and in alkali solutions. The Monel K500 Sheet is stronger than ordinary steel, it is resistant to salt water, sulfuric acid and hydrofluoric acids. The material could be worked upon with good malleability, ease of welding, brazing and soldering. It has low coefficient of thermal expansion. Also the material can perform under high temperatures up to 480 degrees Celsius.

K500 Monel Foils are used as cladding material over corrosive metallic objects and structures. The plates, sheets and foils are used in applications that require high strength, corrosion resistance and heat resistance such as pumps and valves, impellers, propeller shafts, offshore drilling towers, bolting, oil and gas production systems and in ship building. The Monel Alloy K500 Coils can be applied in high tension, high temperature systems with minimum tensile strength of 965MPa and minimum yield strength of 690MPa when cold worked or hot worked. The K500 Alloy Shim Sheet used for fitting components together is also strong and corrosion resistant. The material is age hardenable and precipitation hardenable for extra strength.
